GAME OPERATIONS & COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep crowd engaged for all in-game entertainment elements, which includes starting chants, cheers, using noise makers, waving flags and signs.
  • Execute all in-game contests and promotions
  • Attend pre-production meeting every game with Director of Game Ops/CR
  • Locate contestants in crowd for all contests
  • Prepare elements by getting props from storage, putting together props, and any other preparation needed for any entertainment elements
  • Assist with any half time act needs if necessary
  • Makes decisions with little or no choice as to the methods and procedures used in achieving results.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience engaging large crowd required
  • Break-dancing, dancing, stilt walking, stunting, tumbling or any other special talent preferred
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to take direction without follow up.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others for whom you have no direct supervisory authority.
  • Strong teamwork and team synergy skills required.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail Representatives are responsible for assisting customers at the RP Funding Center on game nights, with all aspects relating to the retail sold throughout the arena. Candidates must have strong customer service skills and be able to work in a busy, dynamic environment. Retail Representatives must be able to multi-task, and work well with others.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons on game nights
  • Greets, interacts with and thanks customers on a regular basis
  • Recognize wants and needs of each customer, to ensure a satisfactory shopping experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work together as a team
  • Maintain superior knowledge of entire product line
  • Achieve sales, productivity, and incentive goals
  • Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of assigned retail area(s)
  • Restock key selling items during the game
  • Process cash and credit cards for customer transactions utilizing a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Ability to reconcile and appropriately closeout assigned workstation at end of each shift
  • Assure protection of company assets while adhering to company loss prevention policies and procedures
  • Ability to assist with retail pop up shops for designated events as needed
  • Execute internal requests for merchandise as directed
  • ┬áMakes decisions with little or no choice as to the methods and procedures used in achieving results.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work 5 to 7 hour shifts while standing
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Cash handling and credit card transaction experience required
  • Point of Sale (POS) experience required
  • 1-2 years of retail experience strongly preferred
  • Good verbal skills: energetic and enthusiastic
  • Strong teamwork and team synergy skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
